Castors
Castors and wheels are components that attach to a wide range of equipment to make them mobile. Examples include, trolley castors, platforms, cabinets, workbenches and other transportation equipment. They are bought to replace existing castors or added as a new component to turn stationary equipment into a mobile unit.The ...castor's bracket or housing can be Fixed (Rigid) or Swivelling.
Fixed castor brackets can only move in two directions, forwards and backwards. Subsequently, they are described as as straight-line movement.
Swivel castor brackets can swivel the castor wheel 360 degrees. As a results they can move in any direction. Furthermore, they can be lockable with a brake. The brake can be either a wheel lock, Wheel Footbrake or a Swivel & Wheel Brake (also called a Total Stop Brake). Swivel and wheel brakes lock both the wheel and the castor's swivel head. A Wheel lock or a Wheel Footbrake locks the caster wheel only.

Specifically, the offset can range from 10mm to 30mm which reduces the castors 'swing' enabling it to better follow the designated path.The Top Plate is 112mm x 112mm and has 4 bolt holes that are spaced 92mm x 92mm, each with a 9mm hole diameter,This castor frame has two wheels with a Polyurethane tyre (Shore A 95) on an Aluminium centre each containing ball bearings, The polyurethane wheel has excellent elasticity the minimises slipping that can happen when an AGV starts or stops. In addition, the elasticity also absorbs small shocks arising from small imperfections in the floor. The wheel itself is non marking and will not damage the floor.
