Puncture Proof wheels can offer similar benefits to pneumatic tyre wheels such as being particularly kind to floors. Because there is less bounce from the tire it offers lower rolling resistance compared to a comparable pneumatic wheel but still offers high user comfort in operation.

Pneumatic wheels have an inner tube that... is inflated with air and in many applications can be susceptible to punctures. Puncture Proof Wheels do not need an inner tube because and made with micro-cellular polyurethane. Micro-Cellular Polyurethane provide a similar effect to true pneumatic wheels. It has the advantage that is offers both a low rolling resistance and minimum compression. This helps stop the wheel from developing a flat spot if stored under load for a significant period of time.
