Pressed steel castors are used in a wide variety of applications such as trolleys, shop-fitting equipment, displays, institutional and apparatus equipment as medical applications. They can be secured to your equipment by either a multiple hole (usually 4 Hole) Top Plate fastening or a single Bolt Hole Fitting which can be fitted with an expander fitting to suit a hollow tube.
The swivelling characteristics of pressed steel castors are affected by the castor's offset and wheel diameter. Furthermore, the construction of the swivel bearing also plays a part.
- A single ball race swivel castor is suitable for apparatus and transportation (e.g. trolleys) and enable good steering with a compact design.
- A double ball race swivel castor is available for medium and heavy duty requirements and it provides excellent performance under heavier loads as compared with a single ball race.
