Light Duty Castors - Pressed Steel (15kg to 100kg Load Capacity)

Because one person's Light Duty is someone else's Heavy Duty, we have described our Light Duty Pressed Steel Castors as having less than 100kg individual Castor load capacity. This lets you know exactly where to look for the castor you need.

A castor's load capacity is usually the first criteria that needs to be identified.... If you need to carry a total load (including the transport equipment) over 4 castors of 300kg or less, these are the castors for you. You can read more about Recommended Load Capacity Considerations here.

Your next criteria is likely to be how you're going to attach the castors and there are two main choices. A rectangular Plate Fixing or a Single Bolt Hole Fitting.

Next comes the Castor Wheels. Our Light Duty Pressed Steel Castors have a complete range. These include Nylon/Polypropylene, Blue Elastic Rubber Tyre, Polyurethane (both Injection Moulded or Bonded), Grey or Black Rubber Tyre, Cast Iron.

The wheel sizes available range from 40mm to 150mm. The most common castor wheel sizes are: 50mm, 75mm, 80mm, 100mm, 125mm and 150mm.

Some users have specific bearing requirements too. A Smooth Plain Bore is simply a smooth hole in the middle of the wheel and the lowest cost option. It's great if you're not carrying too much weight when moving your equipment.
