Pneumatic Wheels
Pneumatic trolley wheels have some typical sizes shown on the side of the tyre. These translate to the following wheel sizes:- 2.50-4 or 2.05 x 4 = 220mm
- 3.00-4 or 3.00 x 4 = 260mm
- 4.00-4 or 4.00 x 4 = 300mm
- 3.50-8 or 3.50 x 8 = 360mm or 370mm
- ...4.00-8 or 4.00 x 8 = 400mm
Pneumatic wheel prices vary based on the material used for the wheel's centre (Polypropylene or Steel), type of bearing (plain, ball, or roller), and load capacity.
Pneumatic Wheels are inflated rubber tyres, used in castor frames or trolleys, carts, sack trucks and other transport equipment. Their soft tyres make them exceptionally kind on floors, and they provide great operator comfort, with lower rolling resistance on uneven surfaces, protecting transportation units from shock impact loads.
Maximum load capacity of pneumatic wheels is given for speeds of no more than 4km/h. Higher speeds will reduce the wheel’s load capacity. Our pneumatic trolley wheels have capacities from 75kg - 150kg.
Choose wheel centres appropriate for your application:
- Pneumatic Tyre on Polypropylene: lightweight & chemical-resistant
- Pneumatic Tyre on Pressed Steel: enhanced strength and load-bearing capacity.
Pneumatic trolley wheels are susceptible to punctures. If this is a problem, the solution may be to use a puncture-proof wheel, which has a similar appearance to a pneumatic rubber tyre, but is actually made from high-quality micro-cellular Polyurethane.
