Fabricated castors are designed for tough applications and a considered Heavy Duty Castors. With thick steel plates, the castor brackets are welded and tend to be more robust and heavy duty than pressed steel castor brackets. Fabricated castors are available in swivel, swivel with brakes and fixed brackets. The braking mechanism on this product is a wheel brake only. This means that when the brake is applied the brake acts only on the castor wheels while the castor's swivel head is free to turn.
This castor has a top plate measuring 170mm x 170mm with bolt hole spacings of 130mm x 130mm drilled to 13mm diameter. The two Polyurethane Tyre on a Cast Iron Centre wheels each have ball bearings fitted to reduce the rolling resistance.
