The brake on this castor locks the wheel only allowing the swivel head to rotate freely when the brake is applied. The Top Plate is made from pressed steel and has a double ball race with hardened bearing seats in the swivel head for smooth swivel rotation. The frame is aluminium. The parts have powder coated and zinc plated for protection. The shock absorbing functions means that the overall height can vary by 10mm.
