A grease nipple is fitted to the swivel head to enable easy maintenance. The load capacity of this dual wheel castor is 1100kg. This castor has directional lock slots in the swivel head to enable the attachment of a retro fit directional lock (HKDL). The overall height of this castor is 238mm. The Wheel has a Polyurethane Tyre (92 Shore A) on a Cast Iron Centre Wheel with Ball Bearings. The polyurethane tyre is abrasion resistant with a low rolling resistance. The elasticity of the polyurethane allows the wheel absorb some of the rolling vibrations. This provides the user with a smoother and quieter operation yet is gentler on concrete floors compared to hard treads such as Cast Iron. -

This type of brake locks both the wheel and the swivel head so that the swivel head will not rotate while the brake is applied. The Top Plate measure 105x80mm with 80x60mm Fixing Bolt Hole Centres. The bolt holes are slotted to 80/75x60/55mm and suits 8mm Bolts. The castor wheel is a white nylon wheel (polyamide) with a 37mm tread width and fitted with two precision ball bearings. The hard wheel is non-marking and has the lowest rolling and swivel resistance. This castor is an excellent all purpose heavy duty castor. The Top Plate is made from pressed steel and has a double ball race with hardened bearing seats in the swivel head for smooth swivel rotation. The frame is aluminium. The parts have powder coated and zinc plated for protection. The shock absorbing functions means that the overall height can vary by 10mm. The castor's height without load is 100mm and this reduces incrementally by up to 10mm as the load increases providing up t0 10mm of compression for a fine shock absorbing function. -
