The Polyurethane tyre offers a low tractive resistance making it easier to get moving compared with softer rubber tread wheels. However, Polyurethane tyres are slightly softer than hard tread wheels making the castor smoother and quieter running. The polyurethane tyre is also non-marking and gentle on floors while the roller bearing lowers the rolling resistance to reduce the effort required to move the castors. The Load capacity quoted is for operation under ideal conditions where the wheel operates infrequently and on a smooth surface. The wheel's load capacity must be reduced as indicated for any of the following conditions. Please note that these are cumulative if more than one condition exists:
- Reduce load by 25% if continuous use for more than 45 minutes.
- Reduce Load by further 30% if used as Drive Wheel.
- Reduce load by further 30% if used at speeds greater than 6kp/h.
