If replacing cast iron wheels, measure the original hub length (the distance through the central bore) and bore diameter, and ensure you match the wheel bearing type.
Cast Iron Metal Wheels are a hard wheel and are generally more capable of taking heavier loads than soft materials (e.g. rubber tyres). Cast iron wheels are best for hard, smooth surfaces, as impact loads and vibrations are not absorbed by the wheel.
