Nylon & Polypropylene Wheels
Keystone Castors offers a wide range of white nylon / polypropylene wheels for existing castor wheel replacement and for a vast variety of industrial uses. White nylon wheels are a popular choice: relatively inexpensive compared with other hard-tread wheels like cast iron.Hard tread wheels are less likely to pick up floor ...debris and swarf than softer, easily damaged treads. Nylon wheels are available with a Roller Bearing, Ball Bearing or Plain Bore.
Non-marking, non-staining and corrosion-resistant, nylon wheels are lightweight with a high load capacity. They require minimal lubrication and provide very low rolling resistance, causing very little floor damage in most applications.
Nylon wheels are also resistant to oils, fats, alkali, soaps and detergents. However, they are not suitable for use where exposure to concentrated acids is likely. Their operating temperature is between -20 and +80 deg. C, though between -5 and +40 is optimal.
Polypropylene Wheels:

This is a high quality, low maintenance, impact resistant wheel that has a high load capacity. The nylon material is extremely resistant to salts, greases, acids and alkalis and will not mark or damage concrete floors. This makes Nylon probably the most castor wheel material.
The wheel has a roller bearing in the hub (central part of the wheel) which consists of rollers made of steel within a cage. These rollers rotate between the axle tube and the wheel hub. This makes the rolling resistance of the bearing relatively slight, even under heavy loads. Roller bearings are rugged, robust and largely maintenance-free.
