The wheel as a soft (Shore 80A) polyurethane tyre for high elasticity and is fitted with a precision ball bearing. This castor has as load capacity of 40kg. The brake locks the wheel only allowing the swivel head to rotate freely. The Top Plate is made from pressed steel and has a double ball race with hardened bearing seats in the swivel head for smooth swivel rotation. The frame is aluminium. The parts have powder coated and zinc plated for protection. The shock absorbing functions means that the overall height can vary by 10mm. The castor's height without load is 100mm and this reduces incrementally by up to 10mm as the load increases providing up t0 10mm of compression for a fine shock absorbing function. -
