The Top Plate is made from pressed steel and has a double ball race with hardened bearing seats in the swivel head for smooth swivel rotation. The frame is aluminium. The parts have powder coated and zinc plated for protection. The shock absorbing functions means that the overall height can vary by 10mm. The castor's height without load is 115mm and this reduces incrementally by up to 10mm as the load increases providing up t0 10mm of compression for a fine shock absorbing function. -
